🛡️ Public Safety & Empowerment
We must address the root causes of crime. I will fund community violence intervention, promote police accountability, and expand mental health first responders to handle non-violent crises.
📚 Education & Youth Opportunity
Every child deserves a premier education. I will fight for equitable school funding, expand vocational and trade training, and support universal Pre-K to ensure our students are career-ready.
🏠 Housing & Economic Growth
Wilmington should be a place where families build wealth. I advocate for tenant protections, small business grants for local entrepreneurs, and expanded down-payment assistance for first-time homebuyers.
🌉 Infrastructure & Environment
It’s time for environmental justice. I will invest in revitalizing city parks, improving DART transit and walkability, and modernizing our water infrastructure to ensure clean air and water for all.
A little more about Steve
Steve is a lifelong Wilmingtonian with deep roots in our community. After retiring from the Brandywine School District, he returned to the classroom as a Special Education and ELA teacher at Glasgow High School.
His commitment to service is proven: Steve founded the HBCU Delaware Coalition Inc., served as a Wilmington Housing Authority commissioner, and was appointed to the Delaware Board of Parole by Governor Carney.
He is a dedicated husband and father of two, committed to building a brighter future for the city that raised him.
